The Challenge Of Democracy 11th Edition by Janda, Berry and Goldman textbook is a really good read for two reasons. One, it's unbiased, and the way they make it unbiased is that they question you whether or not a controversial topic should be, or should not be enacted. (They give different view points, and from that you decide on which is the best choice) Second, it reads like a high school textbook. Some college textbooks get boring and more importantly, complex.
This really breaks it down like how high school textbooks do. Therefore, if you have any interest in history or government, (which I assume you do, since this is a Political Science textbook) this book won't be a struggle to read.
